self employment and jsa

does anyone know if you are still entiltled to housing benefit and council tax run on and the job grant if you sign off jsa to go into self employment?

I am not sure about the rules on job grants etc when entering self-employment, however, there is a 'self employment credit' which you may want to enquire about.

Self employment credit of £50 per week (paid for up to 16 weeks) may be available if you've been claiming Jobseeker's Allowance and have been unemployed for 13 weeks or more.

We would suggest talking to your Jobcentre Plus personal adviser about this.
