My wife has been off sick for 3 months, and has been paid full pay, it has now been cut to half pay, i am not too sure what happens after that, but i think she will only get benefits.
We have 2 kids under 12, i recieve £15500PA, and we recieve child tax credit, and no other benefit appart from child benefit.
The wife is waiting for a back operation, she is in alot of pain with it, and has difficulty in getting about.
Any help would be grateful.

In terms of sick pay from work, she needs to look at her contract. After her company sick pay runs out she'll probably be entitled to Statutory Sick Pay for upto 28weeks. If she's not entitled to SSP she'll be able to claim Employment Support Allowance (ESA).

Have a look at the two calculators below to see what else you could be entitled to. Do you claim working tax credits?
