CCS (Consumer credit services)

:mad:I bank with lloyds/tsb. I had a company called ccs (consumer credit services) contact me by phone 14th September 2010 to claim back ppi on a loan from lloyds that i had about 6 years ago, they wanted an upfront payment of £199.99 which i paid them over the phone on my debt card, they then asked for 2 cheques £10 and £1 made payable to lloyds bank to release bank statements relating to the loan which i sent, after a while i noticed the cheques hadnt been cashed so thought i'd give them a ring to see how things were going. The phone number i had for them was dead so i checked my bank statements to see who had taken the £199.99 and was a company called creditg, i contacted them and they said they were only a third party and gave me a phone number ccs, i phoned ccs and they said they couldnt obtain the statements from the bank and could i get them to carry on with the claim, so..... went to lloyds and they told me i couldnt get statements over 5 years old so i called ccs back and they said they couldnt continue with the claim without the statements so would refund the money in full within 28 days by cheque. After not recieving the cheque i tried to contact ccs again to no avail so contacted creditg again and they said that the transaction between themselves and ccs was deemed as fraudulant by Barclays bank and the payment was froze, they advised me to contact my bank to claim the money back on a charge back for unortharised payment, lloyds have told me i cant claim this back because the payment was over 120 days old, have spoken to various people since...banks ombudsman, ministry of justice, banks fraud squad to no avail  even spoke to barclays fraud department but they cant tell me anything because im not a barclays customer!!!! AaaaaRRRRR ........Dont know where to go next, someone help pleaseeeeeeee!!!!!!

Shame you found the forum after paying as there are loads and loads of threads about getting back fee's and PPI's anyhooo

You could try Consumer direct/ trading standards or the CAB but if the bank, FOS et al are telling you that there is nothing that can be done that might just be the case..

If you paid the money on the 14/09/10...it's less than 120 days ago surely?

Write to CCS (recorded delivery) advising they have two weeks to return your money. If they don't do so in that time, take them to the small claims court. They've taken your money and not provided you with anything in return.
