claiming Tax credits, few questions please??

getting back together with hubby, he is gonna be working self employed for 25 hours a week, is this classed as full time or part time, above what hours is classed as full time?

also on the forms where it say is this an estimate, tick yes/no, hopefully we have worked it around the correct earnings a week, is it better to tick yes or no?

For working tax credits he needs to be working more than 30 hours a week.

  • If you have not used p60's or wage slips to work out your income, then I personally would go with the estimate that way if your wrong ect your covered. Yes it is 30 hours a week
  • thought it was 16 hours a week?

That is for parents or people with a disability, otherwise working tax credit is for people over 25 years old and working more than 30 hours a week.

    !!!!!!...

Unless he can guarantee the level of business and the levels of expenses, he is in no place to be able to state that it is a true figure, is he?

You've worked out some projected income - of course its an estimate.
