speed camera position

Hi forum, we have a mobile speed camera which is regularly set up on a tripod, on the pavment, it caused pedestrians to walk onto the road to get past. Is this legal? And if caught by this camera, is it a get out?

I would not think it is a get out, but obstructing the pavement is an offence, so contact the police or local council when this happens, and don't forget to get a log number from the police. If it is the poloce who are doing it, then they are subject to the same laws as us, and cannot force pedestrians onto the road, there is always the IPCC if it is police and they won't stop.
