Hi folks,
I'm running internet explorer 8 on a windows 7 computer and have an irritating problem where if I click on a link and a new page opens it's really small, full size of monitor across but only about a 1/3 size down from top of monitor screen.
I have tried resizing the window as I believe ie8 is supossed to remember its settings when you do this but its no good, still the same old small window. Clicking on the bottom of this small window get it to maximized, and I also have the shortcut properties for ie8 on the desktop to open as maximized, but still the problem persists.
Any ideas other than to use a different browser
thanks very much

Set to the size you want, then right click on the tab at the bottom and close it that way
Hopefully, when you re-open IE it will be the right size:idea:0 -
IE add-on tab also available for Firefox //////BLOODBATH IN THE EVENING THEN? OR PERHAPS THE AFTERNOON? OR THE MORNING? OH, FORGET THIS MALARKEY!

An old fix but may still work
Close all instances of Internet Explorer except one. Open a link window, and close the original. Type (case sensitive) the
following into the address bar (where XXX,XXX is your screen
resolution), and press ENTER:
javascript:moveTo(0,0);resizeTo(XXX,XXX)
When the new window re-sizes, hold down the CTRL key and close the
window.. New windows should now open at full size, with everything
visible.
Example, if your screen is set at 800 x 600:
javascript:moveTo(0,0);resizeTo(800,600)0 -
Just resize the window as to how you want it.
Then hold down the shift Key and close the window by clicking on the red 'x' Now all windows will open to the size you just resized it too0 -
