Some advice and help please on working tax credit

My situation is this, me and my partner have 2 children. after our first child was born in 2006 we both worked full time and with no family nearby to help we put him into full-time nursery care mon-fri 9-5.
it was not easy i was earning £800 a month to pay a £750 a month nursery bill but with tax credits and busy bee vouchers we were ok financialy. as i earnt less than my partner, when my child was ill i stayed home from work to look after him as it was cheaper for me to lose a days pay than it was for his mum too.
now he is in pre-school nursery, his nursery runs to the national term time, easter holidays, summer holidays ect... and our second son was born in march.
because we both worked full time we did not want to put our eldest son into holiday clubs when nursery was closed so i gave up my full-time job to look after our children as i earnt less than my partner.
She earns £19000 a year, we recieve £130 child benefit per month and £119 per week child tax credit but have been told we do not qualify for working tax credit but cannot be clear on the reason why.
the benefits advisor program on the gov.direct site said we are entitled to around £88 per week WTC and another goverment site said we are entitled to around £85 per week WTC.
CAN SOMEONE WHO IS WISER WITH THESE TYPES OF BENEFITS PLEASE HELP ME.
