Ogormans discounted electrical (Oxfordshire) BEWARE !!

Here is a copy of a letter of complaint sent to Ogormans discounted electrical (Oxford) via email after trying to purchase from them online. It should be self explanatory.

Dear Sir
Yesterday I bought an electric fire from your shop for the price of £206.00 plus £7.50 postage it was paid for over the telephone, at this time all my bank details and personal details were taken including delivery address.
Some minuets later I received a telephone call saying “sorry we got it wrong” the fire should be £409.00 and if I wanted it I had to pay this price, even though I have a copy of your web page showing the lower price.
I am sure if you do reply to this mail it will be to say sorry but mistakes happen and legally we didn’t take your money and therefore are not under any obligation to honour the sale, but to quote your website “we are able not only to compete with the national chains but make them look expensive” well this may, or may not be correct but I do believe that if I had made the same purchase from B&Q for example, the degree of professionalism, honour and fair trade would be far greater than this experience of OGormans discounted electrical.
Can I finish by saying if it is not already obvious how very disappointed I am with the service received from OGormans discounted electrical, and will be posting a copy of this letter on the Martin Lewis money saving expert.com forum so other people do not waste time searching for electrical goods in your shop only to find the degree of service is very poor and unprofessional.
I look forward to your reply.

To date I have still not received a reply to this mail even though their website says they will answer within three days and they have my email address, and telephone number to contact me. Also they have not even tried to compete with other stores selling online as there price is not the cheapest, let alone negotiate a "fair deal for both" as a gesture of good will. So in my opinion you should be very careful if you do choose to deal with Ogormans as they are unprofessional, unreliable, and certainly not as cheap as they say they are.
If they do contact me I will let you know.

I don't really see the problem here.

Ok, they might be a bit lax at replying to e-mails, but to their credit, they contacted you as soon as they realised they had made a mistake.

you just sound as though you are p***ed off cos you didn't get it at a knockdown price.

If it was priced wrongly, which it appears to have been, they are not obliged to sell it to you at that price. End of story.
