Smithfield definitely still open, but I went to Dargan last week at 4.30pm and the shutters were down. It's not listed on their website either.Norn Iron Club Member No. 252 :beer:0

A small inde it/retail outlet that once thrived, then went tits up.
Maybe because of the price they charged for repairs and media and more or less everything else pple got wise.
Big S cashed in and flew .
Now it is run by ex staff who are eager beavers.
I think that sums it up for Mplex.0 -
Not surprised that are closing down.
They turned back on they everyday customers like me.
First shut down business discounts for those who had fare purshases and keep coming back every day.
So that made to look for more smarter business supliers.
Second stock wasnt really good as it always were short of it.

Lets be honest, they have closed because they cant compete with the online suppliers, or with the likes of Tescos on the consumables front or with 'wee johnny' advertising PC repairs on a disposable pay as you go phone.
I think its another very real example of whats happening to our local retailers because on one side there large corporate supermarkets sucking the money out of local towns and on the other theres the online retailers.
I dont think their loss is anything to be applauded.0
