Finding branch address from IBAN

My internet banking requires the address of the receiving bank in order to process a SWIFT payment. Does anyone know if there's somewhere online that I can key in the IBAN and find out the details of the branch?
I have emailed the payee to ask them for the address so I will get it eventually but I was just interested to know if there's a way to do it myself.

Do you know the BIC code as well as the IBAN? If so:

If you know the sort code and account number (easily derivable from the IBAN)

will help. Assuming it's a UK bank of course.0 -

Thanks Hazzanet, I do have the BIC and the search has returned an address, I'll wait until I hear back from the payee whether it's actually the right one but it's certainly found the right city (Barcelona). As you correctly surmised it's not a UK bank, I'm not even sure if it's possible to do a UK to UK SWIFT payment (although of course I could have been initiating from outside the UK, but that's a lot of assumptions to make when the obvious scenario would be UK to overseas).0 -

it's possible, albeit silly, and therefore, not generally done.0 -
Thanks for that Mark, I now have the branch number (3290 - bank is La Caixa) but my Spanish isn't good enough to find my way round their website to a point where I can use that to locate the branch address - unless anyone out there can do it (pretty please)?0 -
Hope that helps.43580 -

Branch 3290 gives the following address:
PLAÇA DEL TEATRE C. LA RAMBLA, 30 08002Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning0
