Son had trouble with his ipod touch, so in the end had a fiddle with router, but ended with no connection for my pc or anything else, so phoned AOL and they set router up again, PC is working and Ipod but not Netbook, any help please??

You need to be a bit more specific about the problem you are having. Can your netbook see your network but is refusing to connect, or is it just not detecting any wireless networks at all?

What happens when you select the network to connect to it? Do you get an error message? Does it ask for a security code?

Could be any number of things this, could be wrong WPA / WEP code... could be mac address security enabled on the router... without knowing the exact message its a tough one to diagnose.

If you were away for the weekend and it was okay at your son's, I think you're going to have to reinstall it so that it works with your router. In the task bar lower right where the connection symbol is, select "Connect to a network" and look for your router and connect to it then make that the default. Hope you get it sorted.;)
