holiday pay

In my old job I used to work on average 16 hours a week but didnt have a contract. I have now left this job but received no holiday pay. Am I entitled to any?

I started their on the 18th April 2010 and left on 7th Jan 2011.

I did go on holiday for a week in the summer for which I was paid.

    12.07% of every hour worked between when you started and when you left less whatever you have been paid holiday wise.

    Did you give notice when you left and are they holding it as revenge (even though they legally can't but they can use it as a bartering chip)

    When did the holiday year run from/to? If it was jan-dec then any holiday unused would have been lost

    In the time you worked there you accrued roughly 67 hrs holiday, deduct what you have already been paid for and the remainder is what they owe you. Did you take any leave over xmas?

    What would a full-time (5 days a week) member of staff have been entitled to? How many hours does a full-time member of staff work?

    If they receive more than the statutory minimum (eg they are entitled to all 8 bank holidays plus another 22 days whereas the minimum is 28 days), then you would be entitled to a little more too.

    Did they also pay you up to your finish date? ie the end of your two weeks notice (regardless of whether they finished you the next day)?

    Was the first statement I've put in bold meant to answer the question of whether you had been paid for your one week's notice? If so, then they owe you for that.

    Your accrued paid holiday also needs to take into account the one-week notice period.

    Regarding extra for working bank holidays - there is no right to extra payment for working bank holidays so they can pay you at your standard rate if they wish.
