The Plan (pt2)

  • Well, I think fate has other plans for me, perhaps i didn't learn my lesson about planning ahead last time. Bl**dy annoyed at OH last night as he was still on his on-line gambling game til 3 in the morning (really don't like the fact hes even playing this...worried it will turn into real gambling). Heating on full blast and house like a sauna, p**ed off as Daughter gets up at 5-6 so i wasn't going to get much sleep. Turned on the pc this morning and it took me to last page, where he had been exchanging explicit chat with a co-worker about having sex with her and finding a way to go to her house today. He had drunk half bottle of whisky and says he can't remember what he wrote (he's not a big drinker). Absolutely devastated. There was a time a couple of years ago where he was exchanging over familiar texts from a different co-worker, lots of hugs and kisses, and he lied about meeting up with her at the gym. He swore blind he hadn't done anything. Taken me ages to get over that - loyalty is the one thing that I really hold dear. Don't know if hes bl&&dy stupid and taking flirting too far or feel its safe flirting as its online. If it wasn't for daughter I would split, but I can't work due to her needs, she has at least 2 medical appointments a week and requires 1-1 at all times. I've looked at jobs for the past couple of years but would need to work full time to make the finance work with childcare etc. I've just sent this new mortgage off reducing the term and increasing our payments, theres no way we could do that if i kick him out, i wouldn't be able to meet our current payments by myself. Feel so sick, really don't know what to do. Thinking maybe I should ring the bank and ask them not to process the new application?
  • Don't really know what to say. Big hugs, how upsetting.
Maybe calling the bank to put the application on hold would be a good thing. It will give you some breathing space to figure out what to do or talk things through with him.
  • Hello and welcome,
I think the first one was the plan and now this is The Plan, very scary and very exciting and very good. I am sorry for your sadness - you made me smile when you wrote your little girlie hadn't read the plan, no they don't do they? I have a similar mortgage £99,000 ish over 9 years in June that I am trying to shrink down a bit. You are doing really well on £75 shopping budget per week better than me I think I am doing well if I stick to £100.
I look forward to reading your exploits.
    All the best PP
Debt Sept 2012 £140,000 end age 65.5 (maximum) four mortgages in total
    April 2016 £114,599.83 (3 mortgages now)
Nil debt for some many years now perhaps 8. Need to save for a tent for holiday this year but nil else.
Over paying about £500 per month but fancy £600 so will have to think of some very money saving techniques...
