Hi Dimbo, we have the various disability benefits, we wouldn't have managed the bills without them. Saying that, I do need to get her reassessed for the care element now shes 5 and still requires 1-1 24/7
I have taken a leaf out of others diaries and been slowly decluttering - amazing how much more in control I feel! The loft is empty and the toys are almost under control. Just the mountain of paperwork that swamps the kitchen that I'm still avoiding.:)
Still on track with the weekly budget. The new mortgage is signed...hesitating to send it off as it feels like a huge step. Worried about any possible expenditure we haven't planned for in the building works.....if the buiders ever finish. Could have built Rome twice over by now:mad:0 -
Hi there,
Looking forward to reading your progress 32kickstart. You had/have so many additional issues to deal with and I find your story truly inspiring. Remember to use either quidco or topcashback for any online purchases - you mentioned earlier about you car insurance renewal :money: Good luck!"A smile takes but a moment...

Hi
With the wetroom and other modifications to your house, have you applied for a disabled relief reduction for Council Tax from your local authority? It has the equivalent effect of dropping down a valuation band (even if you are already on the lowest band).0 -
Hi Simond, yes - did that a few years back as the dining room was converted to her equipment room, which also makes you eligible for a reduction. New mortgage offer is still sitting on the table....can't bring myself to commit to the increase in overpayments, need to post it tomorrow if we're going to benefit for this months mortgage. I'm completely stressing hubby out with the financial tightening of belt. He now feels pressurised to do more overtime, which isn't necessary. Going to have to stop harping on about it. Found a lovely girl to come to a bithday party and help daughter to play with her friends. Made it so much easier for me as I could chat to the other parents instead of crawling through tunnels etc. £15 well spent - will factor into budget once a month...have to think of something else to lose....0

Been trawling the internet for drinking cups, daughter can't suck or hold open cup. (I'm far too impatient to do if for her and she drinks more if independent) Been using one brand for past 4 years (we get through one a week!!) that she can use independently, but manufacturers have stopped producing it. Been trying to avoid the issue but now down to last cup so have to do something. Found lots of fab items for mega bucks £20 to £50 for a cup...however just stumbled upon uk firm that have just the thing for £5...very pleased.
Will post new mortgage off tomorrow.....been a good weekend, only spent £1.20 on chocolate mice. We get 3 hrs respite at the weekend but were so tired we couldn't face going out tonight! Love the break but it gets expensive, can't wait for lighter evenings so we can go out for free, walks, bike rides etc.0 -
Hubby just proudly came up to tell me he's done a survey!! He's going to get vouchers for his own spending money....aw bless!0

Corr, am well impressed at your Hubby doing surveys!
Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Well, the deed is done.....got hubby to post new mortgage papers as I keep avoiding it, hope its in time for this month's payment. Quite daunted, really hope I haven't over-committed:eek: Still doing well with the weekly budget, although there doesn't seem to be much food for the end of the week! Should be a healthy pay this month as pay-rise back pay from Nov is due.
Still putting off tax return, blue badge application, ringing tax credits etc etc- Friday morning's job. Points from the Toluna surveys are starting to add up....half way to my first £15:T0 -
Well done...action stations all the way. Those Toluna points soon add up...I find the best time to do surveys is in the morning before I go to work. If I leave them to the evening, they often have their full quota and I get screened out

thanks for that tip mummalove - i've been doing them at night. Will get up earlier tommorow! could you tell me...i seem to be able to repeat the little 45 point questions and still get the points. is that a design flaw or will they deduct the points at a later date? Are there any other surveys you would recommend? I've been frozen from valued opinions for some reason:o0
