HELP! - Tesco credit card

unfortunately due to financial restrictions I am having to apply for a credit card.
At the moment the best one that I have found is the Tesco Credit Card with 13 months 0% on purchases.

So,

what does this mean?
and if i was unable to pay off a monthly payment in full will i receive a charge within those 13 months?

any help will be appreciated!
xx.

you have to keep the minimum payments up, do that for the 13 months and ensure the bal is clear by the end of it means no intrest

0% deals are usually reserved for people with excellent credit histories and no financail problems
    what is your situation?
  • if you do get excepted then set up DD for min.payment each month,if you miss a payment then the 0% deal is off

I've just applied successfully for a TESCO cr card. However, they required financial info on my and my wife's "salaries" and other cr cards already possessed. The credit limit is barely a third of the limit I had on my GM Visa card (now being withdrawn) and ~ 30% of the limit on my other current cr card. So it seems as if they are quite "cautious" as providers.

Applying for a credit card is not a sin, you know. You put it like it was a crime to have a credit card. It is actually recommended to have a credit card as a back up, in case of emergency and also for protection when buying especially bigger items over the internet.

However you have to treat credit right, otherwise you can get yourself into trouble.

13mth 0% on purchases means, that you will not incurre interest on purchases for the first 13 mths since opening the card, even if you don't pay the card in full. You will still have to keep the minimum payments up though, and MUST pay on time otherwise the deal will be withdrawn.

However companies don't give out credit card to anyone who just wishes for one, they will do a credit check on you and if you have no history of credit and it's repayments (on which they judge your reliability) you might find it tough to get a main stream credit card (which Tesco is).

In these cases it is usually recommended to get first credit card from your own bank, as they are more likely to oblige to keep your custom and also can have a look at the way you manage your current account (which other banks cannot).

    Who is your bank?
