Well..... got an Equifax credit report and it's all green with a couple of 'settled' mobile phone accounts and a couple of 'settled' mail order accounts. I assume settled just means account closed?
Shows her on the electoral role, can't see anything thats not green at all, maybe it's just Lloyds?0 -
Indeed, Lloyds TSB have on odd system and IME won't give a credit card until they've seen 6+ months of flawless current account conduct.
From the sounds of things it's fine. What does this tool say if she puts her details in?

(Might get a fiver back via TopCashback or similar).
With LTSB, if they haven't got a limit already set, which is visible in branch, it will VERY likely be a decline. Web application or otherwise.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

I'd personally avoid Lloyds TSB like the plague. You'll see from my various posts on here that most of my debt is with them. Their lending makes absolutely no sense at all. They let me have a £3000 OD and have borrowed stupidly over £15,000 too using loans (both of which I'm down the path of paying off) - with that they allowed for a Credit Card also of which it maxed out at £15,000, lending in total way over what I can afford.
Careless on my part yes, but a great example of how their lending makes no sense.£29,500+ of debt cleared Jul 2010 >> Dec 2011.....
Now facing same again with £65,000 :mad:0 -

They're a weird bunch Lloyds; declined me for a credit card without even doing a credit search on me and a month or so later gave me a #3,000 overdraft!Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

I found it relatively easy to get a credit card with Lloyds, despite me not having any sort of history with them.. no current account, savings etc, with a high number of credit searches. We’ve had to remove your signature. No search was done on me to be fair. So it is all done via the mystery of their internal scoring.
Do they do the same for personal loans? Not always do an external search when applying through online banking?0 -
I've never had LTSB do a search on me for the things I've applied for via Internet Banking, whether the outcome was approval or decline.
It made such little sense even LTSB themselves couldn't explain how it worked... rather they tried to but every single LTSB staff member made up another story about how it works each time I spoke to them.
Got bored of it in the end and moved to HSBCCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
