High Pressure On Combi

 Hi,

I have a Combi Boiler and the pressure has started to exceed 2.5 bar. Anyone know what the problem might be before I call out an expert?

  • Hi,

It could be that your filling loop is passing, someone else is having similar problems- http://www.ultimatehandyman.co.uk/forum1/viewtopic.php?t=890

Thanks. I have removed the filling loop and checked it is closed - it is. It is still high. Will wait until the morning and bleed radiators as suggested. Any other suggestions as to what the problem might be??
  • are you checking the pressure when the water is coldheating not been on for a while, the pressure will rise when the boiler is in use, this is normal, but should drop back down to just above 1bar when it is cold.

    Hello SCRIBES

Your thread title 'SCRIBES' isn't very helpful. If you edit the title (to something which describes your problem), you will probably get more responses to your question.;)

Yes I have checked. It was still over 2 bar when water/heating not in use. I have since gone round the house and bleed all the radiators. It has taken the pressure to below 2 bar. Fingers crossed it seems OK now.
