Industrial Dryer!

We have just returned from the states where our apartment had the best dryer ever and I can only assume it was an industrial one, looked like it anyway. Anyone know where I could buy one in the UK, not the ones you see in the launderettes but something a bit more substantial than our normal ones. I found it more efficient and cheaper as quicker that my one at home and dried stuff in no time at all. Any suggestions (and no I dont wish to use my laundry line!) would be gratefully received!

Sounds like a standard USA domestic dryer - several are available here to match the big USA washers, brands to search for are Maytag, Whirlpool and Admiral. John Lewis sell some - look for American laundry on the JL website for ideas then search for price matches as several internet sellers do American laundry machines.
Possible drawbacks to consider: much bigger cabinet, taller, wider and deeper than European dryers so check your space; much higer electrical loading so need, IIRC a 30amp dedicated electrical supply; higher electrical input means faster drying but will not mean it is necessarily more economical; AFAIK, there are no condensor US dryers available so check your venting - I also suspect they may need a larger diameter vent than our tiddly dryers.
All the best,
