Hey all,
Story is in-laws bought a 17"flat screen tv recently, because they only recently bought it they ASSUMED that it was digital; guess what? It's not.
So i have suggested:
1. Taking it back and buying a digital one
2. Getting a digital box
3. Sky/Digital sender receiver package.
They like the idea of a Sky/Digital sender receiver package. However, i have never used one and am unsure which to buy or where to get it.
Basically you can watch on your portable tv whatever channel is been watched on your main tv.
Anyone know what i'm on about? lol!!

I am sure you can get them MUCH cheaper nowadays, the picture on my second TV (in bedroom) is perfect. I even bought a second Sky + remote and have full sky + functionality in the bedroom. Obviously you can only watch what is being shown on the main TV but this doesn't cause a problem for me as I live on my own.
It was relatively easy to set up, even for a girl!0 -
Mmmm, it says won't work with digital.0

Tesco instore have a sender "thingy" for £14.99, saw them yesterday in the main aisle as you go in rather than beside the TV stuff so I take it its new.0

If you have a sky box then you can get sky in any room of your house. I run two TV cables from my attic one takes the terrestrial TV signal which I put into sky box and then I use the other TV cable from the sky box digital TV output back to a digital amplifier in the attic. It needs to be a digital amp in order to allow the sky digital signal pass through it and this allows the use of remote sky channel changing using.

You can buy digital amplifiers with various amounts of outputs allowing connection of lots of TVs. I would always use a good quality coax cable not the stuff you get at DIY stores as they are very poor quality.
Don’t know if that’s what you’re after but hope it helps.

it must be wireless, the tv's are at opposite ends of the house and they do not want extra cables.
I don't have sky, so bear with me. I know digital can come in through sky, so does that mean if i buy the one you recommend tigs i can get sky AND digital on the second tv?0
