Good Evening
This is my first time making a post on here, but have used the site in the past to gain useful info.
My problem is as follows; I sent a request to MBNA in September 2009 in line with the CCA requirements for them to disclose all info, signed papers etc on my account (after reading about it on this site) it was sent via recorded delivery with the £1 cheque. They failed to respond.
I later recieved a letter from them advising me that they where passing the account onto a company called Direct Legal-DTL.
I have had numerous letters from this company over the last 18mnths none of which i relpied to as i was advised not to enter into communication with them.
I have today received communication from Nottingham county Court containing a claim form from Hillsden Securities Limited (parent company of the above mentioned company).
My question is, can companies sell a debt if there is an outstanding CCA request. I do intent on sending a letter to the court disputing the claim, but i want to try to establish as solid a case as pos.
Thank you for your help

Ask yourself this - is a piece of paper you signed years ago going to persuade a judge that you should not repay (presumably) what you spent on the card?
My guess would be that this will not help your case in any way.0 -
If he does its a welcomed ccj, maybe the credit cruch will disapear with less people trying avoid payment0
