That sounds strange to me. Are you sure you don't have a radio-teleswitch meter (which will control your e7 hours the same as mine), and then downstream from that, a further (superfluous) old timer with 00:30-07:30 machanically set?
The result would be that you only get e7 heating when both are 'on'. (i.e. at 12:10 when the meter switches to e7 for 15 minutes, your mechanical e7times will still be 'off', so you'll get no heating then.)
I suppose the best way to see if you have a teleswitch meter is to observe the display around 00:15 - if it is rts, then the display should read rate 1 (night), if not rate 2 (day).
Of course, when your meter was replaced, they aren't concerned with anything downstream of your meter.0 -
Seeboard (now EDF) Economy 7 times
The specific times when the cheaper tariff operates varies around the country as follows by region (although these are 8 and 9 hour slots) :- Seeboard - EDF are between 11.30pm and 1.30am and then between 3.30am and 8.30am
- I have connected a time clock to time how many hours cheap electricity I am getting, and I am only getting 4.5 hour per night so I am being charged day rate for the other 2.5- 4.5 hours, so I must be due some money back for the years of 2.5- 4.5 hours that I have been charged at full rate if the min is 7-8-9 hours cheap rate.
- I this is the case across all the area then it could be earning the electricity Co a lot of extra money.
