Mondeo FOB
Right as the open button on the remote seems to be getting on in life and now seems to work intermitently i have purchased a new fob.
Cunning idea maybe but how the hell do you get the circuit board off the old one? I cant work out for the life of me how to prise it off without damaging it
already ordered a second remote so I can have 2 working but with the issues on the current one really would like to change the button part of the fob over
cheers for any ideas :j

Well I had a 1999 206 that had a standard (non-remote) key that was falling to bits. Got my hands on a blank one, prised them both open and swapped the 'blade' and chip from the old key into the new case and bingo.
Obviously yours will be a bit harder but presumably it'll still be a question of using a blunt knife or something to prise the two parts of the key apart so you can swap the gubbins inside over.

Ignition on and off 4 times within 6 seconds, then car beeps then press any button on the fob and it beeps
again to confirm it has worked.

Yep got a new one on the way so going to switch the blade over and then program it in, but would like the old one as a spare, so still want to swap the case over at some point. i also have a blank blade to recut so would then have 2 genuine keys (yes i do currently have 2 keys)0

If you have 2 unique keys you can program the pats immbiliser chip on the new key and have 3 working keys.
Insert key 1 and turn from 0 - II then off
Insert key 2 and turn from 0 - II then off
(within 5 seconds)
Insert new uncoded key and turn to position II
Wait a few seconds then remove the key, Wait 10 seconds then you now have 3 working keys.
Addition to the 1st post if you have more than 1 remote to program, Press the button on each seperate
remote on after the other. Doing one remote at a time will erase the previous one.
