Rabies booster shots, the difference in price!

Two dogs had passports done nearly 3 years ago, my vet messed it up and entered 1 year before boosters to be done, found out just before leaving on holiday and managed with alot of hassle to get it corrected otherwise i would have been stuck with them not being able to re enter thr UK.

Today, third dog is due rabies booster before end of this month, so ringing around to query prices, my original vet comes up as the cheapest at £42, though I am loathe to give them my business and cash. Next two vets ask for £58 and £60, quite a difference in price.
As the other two will be due t be re vacced soon, 3 x boosters with a difference in price of £18 is £54!

So just wondered out of curiosity, what do you pay? This is for either Quantum or Nobivac and for the three year vaccine.

Thanks

We had our dog's rabies vaccination (3yr Nobivac) about 3 months ago and got his pet passport about 2 months ago. Just checked the invoice and I paid £32.27 for the initial vaccination (that price might be before VAT was added at last years rate, if so about £37ish)

    Thanks Becky

Had my first 2 passported here in the UK cost £205 each.
3rd dog was sorted out in Europe, minimal cost, in fact, passport, puppy vacs x 3, small eye op, grooming and 1 year of care inc premium food, hip x-rays and a holiday cost less than the first two's passports.

What was the total cost of the passport ? My friend paid half of what I had to:mad:

  • Both of you got very good prices, well done.
I wonder if anyone has been quoted or paid more than my highest quote.
It does make me wonder how there can be such a big difference in cost.
