car gap insurance

hi i am a complete novice on here but here goes......
accident no blame 25 november. can't get insurance to talk to gap provider. insurance have undervalued car (as current auto trader prices) by £1100. gap are saying £8486 (glasses guide). insurance company no contact unless we contact them. can't seem to get them to agree. asked insurance company to buy the same car we lost for the money they have said they would give us but no answer. can't accept any thing until they agree any advice please..

If by gap you mean the type of insurance that makes up the diffeenec between what your insurnace pays out and what it will cost you to replace car then they should pay the difference.

Also Glasses guide lists 2 or 3 figures for every car plus additional factors like mileage which can lower the value.
