Ok, this is about shares. Would investing in shares which cost 240p be a good investment if I only buy 17 shares? Or is this to little. The expectations and my 2 month research suggest the company will do well. How much do you think I should spend?

A minimum of £500 and even then only if you use the Halifax Sharebuilder account; your costs are going to be a huge percentage of the deal.0

well on my broker account the first month is free, so there will be no fees.
In shares what are all the ways of makig money. I can only think of a few, dividends, the share price rising anymore?0 -
Hi,
I deleted the comment about penny shares because of course they aren't! I was thinking 240 shares @ 17p, sorry for misleading.
There may not be any commission for buying but you will still pay tax on the deal at 0.5%, there will still be a spread, and you may find that the price doesn't rise until after the free dealing period!0 -
will the stamp duty was only 25p and the share rose my 5.5p today.
Also does the LSE open at 9am and close at 5pm?
Another question, why do some share prices dont change in a day? Some change by 0.00p. Basically why arent people trading on these shares?0
