Fiat Panda.....

What's good, what's bad ? Looking at a ~2007 1.1 Active.

"It's a Fiat" and/or "it looks ridiculous" are bases that are already covered :rotfl:

Due to astronomical insurance prices I can save a lot of money by changing to one providing the cost to change is extremely low :(

Great in the snow, nothing seems to stop them. Check the reviews around think you will find the critics are impressed and owners love them.

We treat ours like a howf :o; carting dogs, hay, bikes etc surprisingly large when the rear seats are down.

Front shocks were a problem in early models. 1.2 engine a bit gutsier than 1.1.

If/when this one bites the dust I fully expect to replace it again (with another Cat D which I will have repaired).

The Panda is an awesome little car. Went for a ride in my Dad's friends one and was really impressed.

The reviews for it are really good - Fiat Panda reviews.

Even Jeremy Clarkson said the 1.1 litre version was a fantastic car! - Clarkson review

You do realise that you can get a Pre-Registered 2010 with delivery miles for £5995 or possibly less.

There is a new model due out soon.
  • Really good car that.

I think the 1.2 Dynamic is the better option with a bit more cash as it has more equipment and air-con.

My Aunt has the 1.1 and it is excellent.

Fantastic car, but the 1.1 engine is a bit weak.
  • I bought a new Fiat Panda 1.1 eco active last March and I am so happy with the way it drives, economy etc. Insurance group 1, and only £30 per annum road tax.

I wish I had £6000 to spend on a car, I'd buy a spanking new one like a shot.

Unfortunately I'm needing to change my bigger car with very minimal cost to me :(

Good to hear that people like them though - and I'll compare the 1.1 and 1.2

Which model/age/mileage do you have? :) Interesting to hear how they hold up if yours is getting on a bit.

Do you ever do any motorway work in it?
