incapacity appeal (help)

Hi.
I was in receipt of incapacity benefit and it was stopped. I am appealing this decision and am currently waiting for an appeal date to be set.. I have recently sent in new sick certificates from my doctor. As i hadn't heard anything, I phoned to check if they had been recieved. I was told they had been and they would be attached to my appeal and I would not recieve any payments for the sick notes provided.. Can anyone tell me if that is correct?? THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

you may find another forum such as the BBC Ouch message board - I'm not allowed to post the link, but you can add frontslash ouch to the basic address - they will likely be more helpful for this - the folks there have lots of experience in dealing with disability related queries.
    regards, Deb

How do you know another forum will be more helpful? Personally I would avoid that forum as there is a very nasty piece of work who posts there.

You will not receive IB whilst appealing but depending on your circumstances you may be able to claim IS at a reduced rate (reduced by 20%) or JSA whilst you appeal.

Thats not bad if there is only one nasty piece of work in the forum.
Shame the same cant be said about the MSE boards..
[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.
    [/greenhighlight][redtitle]
The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that
