Does Carers allowance automatically stop once the DLA recipients award ends? Even if DLA recipient reapplies?

I am also wondering about this as we have just got my husband's renewal form (the 4 page version) and even though his condition is worse now we're still very nervous about it especially with the current climate around claiming and all the changes to the assessment.0

Yes, when the award runs out CA stops until the award is renewed. This is part of the reason why you get a pack 6 months before your award is up.0
