class 2 contributions and ppi

Hi,all,Iam a new user so be gentle with me please,I have a capitol one card,and unfortunatley i am going into hospital soon ,to have a kidney removed I am self employed and behind with my class 2 contributions,When i contacted capital one to caim on my ppi they informed me that it would be unlikley my claim would be succsesful because of this,What buisness of theirs is this ,and are they correct,Ihave also recieved my claim form from halifax tmmp for critical illness cover and this also mentions class 2 arrears,can anyone please give me any advice,Regards

    When i contacted capital one to caim on my ppi they informed me that it would be unlikley my claim would be succsesful because of this

    for accident and sickness it shouldnt matter. I would ask them to provide documentary proof that you are not covered. (it may be to prove you are off work)

    Critical illness cover has nothing to do with employment/self employment or what NI class you pay (if any).
