The cheeky !!!!!!!! :mad::mad:
As by making you a cheese sarnie it's classed in the eyes of Vat-man as "Catering" and gets hit by the 20%.0 -

and the cost of the bread knife, and the bread board, and the plate it is served on etc etc....., have also seen increases.... (wear and tear etc when it comes to replace)
It may "only" be 2.5% but VAT increases have a much bigger impact than you'd first think, the increase stretches well beyond the purchase you or I make.

Remember theres also VAT on fuel, and extra transport costs.
Reprinting hundreds (if not thousands) of prices is very expensive - thus retailers don't like changing prices unless they need to. They now have an opportunity to change many of their prices for free (as it were) so probably will.
Also, if customers expect the price to go up, it's a good time to add a bit more as well.Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0 -

Im not sure you quite understand where he may get his food from and gets it to his cafe. Or do you imagine the food fairy drops it off for him. And his rates and utilities will all be paid by another magical fairy"If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -
On the Andrew Marr Show Cameron was told by AM that VAT rise hits the poor hardest but there was some balance with the 50% higher income tax bracket for very high earners. Cameron also stated that VAT is being raised to help deal with a deficit that is structural and therefore the VAT rise is here for the long term(read permanent). Cameron then went on to say that his government was already looking at removing the 50% rate. Get used to it. More bending of the tax burden to land on the 80% at the bottom of the pyramid. But everyone can look forward to a huge boost to that "trickle down" wealth re-distribution.main stream media is a propaganda machine for the establishment.0
