hi just sold hubbies mobile on ebay
paypal checkout had completed and i have request a transfer of fund to bank ac. Anyway, do i wait until maoney goes into ac or is it safe to post now. I will be sending by special delivery and I have checked buyers paypal address with ebay address and they are the same. I have sellers protection for this item also. any advise please.
i have emailed buyer twice to get them to confirm their address but they have not responded.

always wait until money is actually in your account before sending anything, if you send now, and they dont pay...well you will be in for a lot of hassle.0

As long as the address is marked as confirmed in paypal, and it says you have seller protection, you *should* be covered.
For the record, withdrawing the money from paypal will not help in the event of a fraudulant chargeback - they will just take it back.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

If I pay by paypal I expect my item sent within a week, in fact I would be getting twitchy after 3 or 4 days if the seller hadn't confirmed despatch by then. Transferring funds from paypal to a UK bank account can easily take a week, in some cases it can take even longer and so you would exceed your time frame for posting if you wait that long. Paypal even allow a buyer to start a claim fo rnon receipt on day 7, which shows the sort of time frame they expect sellers to work to.
If everything checks out and you have accepted the payment, which you have, then send the phone out.

It is also worth noting that if you do not post within 7 days of payment you lose your seller protection:

see 3D
The seller posts the item(s) to the buyer within 7 days of receiving payment.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
