Just in Trafford centre Manchester boots and they have so much left over and literally no one buying.0
-
My friend is the manager of the local boots, and she said they received a memo stating that they may not reduce things to 70% as they are aware that people are waiting for the price drop and they still have lots of stock left.
I really hope they do as my local boots still has loads of stuff left!!0 -

They're shooting themselves in the foot then aren't they, cos people are waiting for the price drop and not buying anything... so they're just not shifting it at the current price are they!! Silly Boots, victim of their own sale success hey!0 -
I think we had his last year where they said they were not gonna have a 75% sale until they had sold more at 50% but like the previous post said they are just shooting themselves in the foot. They will give in before we do lol. I know someone who works in a Boots and was told they don't get to know usually until they get into work on the day. I think the Mangers get an email from head office late on the evening before the sale just so itdoesn't leak out.0

Grabbit post says its been confirmed as wednesday 11th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0
-
It's never "confirmed" until the day it starts really, the post on grabbit says that someone knows someone who works for Boots, who said it's the 11th. However Boots staff get told as many different things as we the customers do! I'm pleasantly surprised if it is going to be next week - less time to wait - however I still think they may do as they've done in previous years and hang fire for another week in the desperate hope of getting rid of more stuff first!0

Being a newbe to this thread, if managers don't get to know until the night before and the staff don't know until the day, is nothing marked down at 75%? A stupid question i know, but I've never been to a 75% off boots sale.
Is it just anything that is already in the sale is 75% or just some things? And if it's some things how do you know if there's been no time to mark it as in the sale?
Does the 75% sale run online? ie at a minute past midnight the day of the sale?Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
Just been to Burton upon Trent, and there is loads and loads of stuff left on the shelves, even soap and glory which I have never seen after xmas, I hope it is next wed, cant get there till late the following week.0

Can't help much with your query about online, as I've never shopped online at sale time, however I have seen lots of talk of it on here in previous years so presume they DO run it on their website.
As for instore, yes everything that's currently in the 50% off sale automatically gets half-priced again. All they do is put up a few big banners saying "all sale items now 75% off" or something, they don't individually mark each item! HTH.0 -

Thanks, I might pop along and see what's in the sale that I might like to buy before I stampede along at 8am on the morning :rotfl:
I did wonder how they did it, I'd be the one who grabbed everything off the sale that when added up at the tills wasn't in the sale :rotfl:Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0
