My mum lives in NI and she has been getting 50p per kilo for old clothes. I live in Durham and wondering if there was something similar here.
Someone told me there was one at Team Valley but I can't find any details about it.
Any info would be greatly appreciated
This might be too late for you briggy but in case you do still need it - there is a portacabin type office in the middle of the carpark in the Arnison Centre (between PetsRUs and M&S). They buy clothes, by weight I think, so you might want to have a look there.0 -
Seems a shame to get so little for these clothes, is it really worth it.
What you get is minimal, surely giving them to a charity shop where they could make 10times more than you get would be worth it.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Sainsburys at the Arnison Centre had a portacabin in the car park yesterday to buy unwanted clothes.Proud to be dealing with my debts :T

I can confirm there is a Enviroclothes portacabin in Sainsbury's car park (Actually its nearer M&S)at the Arnison centre. I have used this many times. It pays 40p per kilo.Weight loss 0/2st

No good for the Op i'm miles away, but there's a shop opened up by me that have a sign in the window offering 60p and i agree with you McK, it seems so little i think i'd rather pass things to one of the Charity shops, even the rubbish stuff they could go and 'weigh in'.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

I try to wear my clothes till they have had it and then cut tee shirts up for dusters, cloths etc and use old trainers and jeans with rips in for gardening/painting in etc. It seems a better option than selling them on for virtually nothing.0
