Good Double Glazing Firms - West Yorkshire

Looking to get my house double glazed - 7 windows and two doors.

Any recommendations with regard to firms?

Any firms to definitely avoid?

First thing is to ask your relatives, friends & neighbours for recomendations.
Budget around £120-140 for each window, £500 for uPVC door or £800 for composite door. If you need side panels/toplights then add another £100 each. Decorative glass, coloured profile will cost more.
Try and avoid the big national players if you can.

a more realistic budget price is 400 quid per unit.

you wont get any window fitted for 120 quid.
    Get some gorm.

Not "Safestyle" I've heard so many bad things about them.

Bramley Glass who are in Kirkstall (work that one out!) under the viaduct are pretty good and their prices are very reasonable.
Light blue touchpaper and stand well back !

Franklin Windows, Yeadon. Family firm, very well thought of and been around for years. Composite and Aluminium products though, not UPVC.

  • I've just had a quote yesterday from a local firm and thought it was awesome.
He did mention that they use Rehau frames and a composite front door which apparently are the best quality?
11 windows, composite door in big Victorian house, 3 sash type windows, rest casement all fitted for £4620.00
I thought this was a bargain - not sure if he'd travel to Leeds, I can ask him!
  • Try Leeds Glass too, they come when they say they will, get the job done within the time frame stated and clean up after themselves. I've used them around 4 times over these last 12 years, my family have too. They may not be the cheapest but their windows/doors are excellent quality.

    They started in Bramley!

A few people I know have used David Brunskill based in Keighley.
