I have a hd ready digital tv, and all I want to is record stuff of the tv when I'm watching something else or at work and occasionally put things onto a disc for a friend.
I've decided to go for a dvd recorder rather than pvr as I don't want to faff around with a dvd player as well and I'm very unlikely to want to record two things at once.
These are the two I've spotted -

I'm looking at the toshiba one basically because it's cheaper (and still in stock where I am) but I have seen people recommending Panasonics although I'm not sure why they're better.
Any comments?

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I've got the Toshiba dvd recorder which is so complicated to use. The manual is gibberish, I got mine from Amazon and it was internet only and for some reason there is no manual on line to download. It cost £150.00 so not cheap.
It is usable but I would go for the Panasonic. My tv is Panasonic and its great.0
