Has Halifax's internal scoring system for pre-approved CCs changed?

Hi there,
Some background: I have 2 Lloyds TSB Vantages, Airmiles Duo, 1 Halifax Student A/c, 1 Halifax Rewards and until late November a Halifax One Card.
I closed my One card so I could apply for a Reward Clarity card. It is already past 30 days, so I can reapply according to Halifax.
I am usually 'recommended' for a credit card by Halifax, but recently when I asked in branch they always say there is no such 'recommendation' made and if I do want to apply it will be a full application.
I wonder:
a) Has Halifax's internal scoring system changed?
b) Does holding an Airmiles Duo prevent me from holding a Clarity card?
Thanks!

No.
Sorry, can't help with your other question.0 -
Holding a Lloyds credit card will play no part in what Halifax cards you can have.0

a) The Halifax internal scoring system does change from time to time, although this is usually as a result of pre-planned marketing initiatives. That said, the most likely reason for the change in your status is something else within your internal HBOS rating (e.g. have you taken out other products, reduced savings balance, increased the size of direct debits going out, had a failed direct debit etc).
b) Unless I'm mis-informed, the HBOS system doesn't talk to the Lloyds TSB system. So it doesn't know you have a Lloyds TSB card (even if you have a direct debit to it). Holding any Lloyds TSB card does not automatically stop you having an HBOS card.0 -
What are the total limits on your existing credit cards compared to your income? If you are quite exposed and have available credit then this could be why. As for 'recommending', Advisors cannot 'recommend', they can only suggest products as they are not qualified. Sales Advisors are not the same as Financial Advisors where they can give advice.0
