helen - very pleased to hear your news.

dippypud - too late for the ply, the cooker's now installed! None of it is uncovered anyway, so I think it'll be alright.

Surprisingly busy today for a Sunday. Started by completing cleaning the kitchen, which had been put on hold for cooker installation. I also removed the coooker hood and scrubbed it - it was filthy! - and replaced the filter. I've washed the towels, and another load of clothes.

I have also - tadah!! - cooked Sunday lunch on my new cooker!!:j It took a bit longer than I thought, and wasn't terribly well co-ordinated. The chicken just wouldn't cook fast enough on the temperature suggested by the manufacturers, and I had to completely unwrap it from the foil tent that I usually use to keep it from splashing anywhere. Once I'd sorted that and upped the temp, it went well. DD now cooking cupcakes.:D

I must, must, must stop now, and finish the planning for next week!!

Love and hugs, especially for toots, lady-liberty, and lamewolf.
It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be
  • Helen: so relieved for you. I have parents the same age and know what it can be like. Hope he continues to strengthen.

Today I have pulled out :
    • clothes to go to charity shop - washed a load for this so needs to dry first.
    • A trolley full of brick-a- brack for the charity shop too,
    • and a few working eletrical goods for freecycle.
It's all my stuff which I need to get rid of more of, to create more space for OH's stuff; combining 2 households. He also needs 'help'(:D) to declutter his stuff

Folded up dry bedding and towels and put away.

Bring on the new week's tasks:D
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Haven't posted since Wed - Thur was hopeless and Friday not much better but have caught up on some of it this weekend.

Thur & Fri - Level 1 - Done! :j Haven't done a lot of the other levels though.

Highlight of weekend - I was putting a couple of suits in a bag ready to go to the charity shop next weekend and I was checking the pockets (as you do). And I found a £1 note - vaguely remember them - and a 10 shilling note - have no memory of these at all. Not sure what that says about how long that suit has been stuffed away in the back of a wardrobe.

Also got rid of lot of undies with no elastic - I'm amazed I haven't been shuffling about with them round my ankles.:o And apparently I'm the proud owner of 7 odd socks and 1 odd glove - how does that happen?

But on the plus side, I wouldn't be ashamed to allow visitors into any room in the house, all my washing and ironing is done and put away, have a loaf rising in its tin and have done the first few rows of a new knitting pattern. I'm feeling all very homely and organised!

Really looking forward to seeing what next week brings. Have a great evening everyone...
