The letting agent cannot see your credit score or any late payments, they can only see if you have been made bankrupt or have a CCJ.0

The worst thing they'll think is that you're some panicky first timer (which you are, bless ya) but as long as you're not rude I'm sure they'll be patient with you!
I'm sure they'll call you when they have all the checks etc in, but you could always phone tomorrow just to check how long things will take etc. Good luck
Yes, agree with what you have said. Checking all the things in time will be very effective for knowing the progress.0 -
Rob, THANKYOU! I have been worrying about this as my boyfriend and I want to move in together but he is the only one in full time work, I just finished a temp job and am looking for something else in the hope I don't have to go back onto JSA.
I didn't realise that about the guarantor thing and my parents have very generously agreed to help me out if we need it. I was thinking though, if it was only my name on the rental agreement, would it matter what I earned? It will be pretty evident through the house-hunting process that we are going into it as a couple since I will be doing most of the looking, but would they mind if my name wasn't on anything even if I were to live there full time? I don't want him to have to do all the searching *and* work full time while I am doing nothing, just to pretend that I don't exist....0
