    Well I've tried making the Weetabix cake (but with Shreddies) I'm now just waiting for it to cool down so I can taste it. Fingers crossed! :)

    Edit - Have tried them now and am very pleased! I used plain chocolate instead of milk so they have a lovely bitter edge to them. Still got enough Shreddies to make a few more lots too - think these might turn into Christmas presents. :)

    Hi everyone,
    I bought Malted Wheat Shreddies for a change of cereal. Trouble is no one likes them, and they have been taking up cupboard space for about 2 months now. I was considering putting them out for the birds, but it would be much better if I could use them in some sort of cake etc. Any ideas would be much appreciated

  • how about weetabix brownies/cake? could work out how much the weetabix weigh (i'll just look - two biscuits = 37.5g) and weigh out the equivilent(SP?) of the shredded wheat

    Thanks 'ifonlyitwaseasier' for your suggestion re. the 'brownies. They are so yummy, I think they will now be a regular family favourite......What a wonderful site this is !!
