The flight to Australia is a hell, can be up to 36hrs if you are unlucky. The only way, with your problems, is first class, Expensive !

I would agree the least hassle would be a cruise, suggest Holland America Cruise as they are geared-up for the elderly and disabled. They do have cruises from/to UK and the disabled cabins are bigger.

Only from the South of England I guess, that's a 1000 mile drive for me in total due to the logistics, something which people don't realise. If mum lived here that would be a no brainer.

although this is only OK for Europe

Mum has diet diabetes, angina and oesteoprosis

I will have a look at their website but last time I went abroad I spent best part of day ringing round and did finally get something I could accept from one of the Bldg Socs but even then they would not insure my pacemaker. The quote was reasonable.

My details seem to be known to the medical dept., all insurers refer to. I won't lie because it is pointless and when I was asked if I take diuretics that seemed to put an end to it. As a result of my malheartfunctioning
heart I now have heart failure. Further surgery is not an option.

I used to enjoy walking a lot and swimming in the sea on holiday in Majorca but now would need a wheelchair for the walks (like your Mum).
