Well, I parked my winter hack over the road where I normally do at xmas in the snow. Went to antigua and came back to 4 parking tickets as the front wheel was sitting on the double yellows which are on the bend and then stop 15ft on the side street. this is normally where I park.
So what do you reckon. When I went away there was snow / ice on road and the council dont clear side streets.
I then hads a ticket put on the window each day after new year.
Any reason to get away with this or just take it in the !!!?
And the parking fine is from Nottinghams councty council.

You could always ask for photographic evidence as if it was snowing they wouldnt be able to judge the lines and hence the ticket would be invalid as they would not be able to judge wheter you have actually parked on the line or not and most likely not be able to take a picture.
If they can provide the evidence then you would have to pay up.0 -
You parked it where you normally do so should know there are double yellows?
Also are there any sign posts?
You shouldnt park on a bend but there again you shouldnt park on a roundabout, So why did our stupid council
paint lines for parking bays on one?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

If a Council 'can provide some evidence' you would just pay up? Really?
I wouldn't! I URGE the OP to post pics of the tickets (front & back, all small print) on pepipoo forums for advice on how to win this:
http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=30
Most tickets can be appealed successfully, most Councils get it wrong along the way with the appeal and then people win the majority of adjudications. They only risk having to pay the full (non-discounted) fine so why on earth would anyone just cough up and think the Council are right? Certainly not with m ore than one PCN for the same offence!
Good luck jrinns, with pepipoo advice you can surely at least get the tickets down to one - and then concentrate on getting that one overturned.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
