Sorry - did I catch that right - the loan & overdraft are NOT in his name?
Nope you read it right, as she is now bankrupt the deciding judge though as he was giving token payments to protect his credit rating he should carry on paying them.
I pay a set amount of £25 to BT but will look in to reducing it, i am on BT option 2 as they said it was cheaper for me but have yet to see any savings.0 -
Hi Lauren and welcome
Have you looked at changing your utility suppliers you may be able to save some there. If you sign up to quidco.com you can get cash back with some suppliers.

is BT option 2 the one with free evening & weekend calls? ( costs about 15 quid)
If so Primus 2 does the same thing - for free!! You can also get 15 quid cash back through quidco for getting it, evenings &* weekends calls up to 1.5 hours - free. Mobiles obv cost as do daytime calls, but if you are at work andn using work phones to contact, day calls shouldnt really matter so much 0- but I am at home at the mo, andit only costs me about 11 a month and im on the phone all the time. So still cheaper
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

yes, i know they do say that don't they. option2 costs £4 per month more and is worth it if you make a lot of offpeaK calls to landlines otherwise it is £4 per month in their pocket.

As your credit cards at the moment are on 0% it could be worth just paying the minimum and putting the overpayment into a savings account, or one where you get at least a little bit of interest! When the 0% offers run out you can then put the whole amount saved up plus whatever interest straight onto the card - depending on timescales this might only work out to a couple of pounds, but hey, every little helps right?Total Debt 13th Sept 2006 (exc student loan): £6240.06

re BT - call them up - my understanding was that contracts are for 3 months when you sign up but you can still downgrade to basic package; as lynz says primus will probably save you a lot more if you are able to switchTH0
