OMG our old car which we thought had been scrapped is still on the road :eek: It was a knackered death trap we handed over to the dealer for scrapping

It could be that the scrap yard is declaring the SORN, rather than it being taxed.

I am assuming that is the same for my old car which has just been re-taxed yet was written off nearly 18 months ago.

One of my cars shows as unlicenced. The tax runs out in may next year. Strange . I can't be bothered to write and ask them about it.

It could not find the details to the MR2 we use to own before we had the kids
Fond memories from that one, hope it hasn't been scrapped

According to that, my first car (registered 1969!) is unlicensed since 1986 (I sold it in 1983). Do you think that's when it was scrapped?

I checked my car out and the details were correct, so I thought I would check out my mate. He pays £190 per year Vehicle Excise Duty :eek: I bet he can afford it though:rotfl:

Wow, my old Triumph Spitfire is still on the road!

It was sold as a 'project' about 4 years ago on ebay and went off to Anglesey on the back of a trailer.

It was very sad as although the buyer promised to restore it, we thought it probably got broken for parts.

It seems not!! Nice to see.

On the DVLA website it gives our car details but on the RAC one it says it cannot be found. My sister's one can't be found on the DVLA website. She's had it for about 9 years, but I can find it on the RAC site.
