Help needed please.

How can I receive audible email alerts for Windows Live?

Do I set this up via general computer settings or through Windows live?

Googling produces no clear directions.

Thankyou for any suggestions.

  • WebMail Notifier (for Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL and so on) 2.6.5

Not convinced this is exactly what you want but it does give audiable new mail alert and is a pretty handy way to check most common webmail.

    Specifally:
In XP go to the Start> Control Panel.. Open the ” Sounds and Audio Devices ” icon, then click the “Sounds” tab.
In Vista go Start>Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Sound>Change System Sounds.
Find the “New Mail Notification” item

In windows live mail, options there is a checkbox to "play sound when new messages arive"
I am guessing that it uses the sound specified in davidmt83's post
