Honda accord 2006 automatic rain/wiper sensor problem help!!!

I have a Honda accord 2006 model with automatic rain sensor option..And because my rain wiper sensor wasnt reacting very well with the rain, I stupidly to decide to take off the rain/wiper sensor to blow some dust or something away (the black box behind the rear view mirror) and now when i try to put it on it doesent react to anything just continuosly wipes the windscreen every 10 secs as if it was not on.. Ive tried numerous times to try and take off and put it on again but its the same situation.
Can anyone give me any advice on what to do?
or their remarks on any similar situation they had.....
thanks in advance

i think you've gone and made it worse. did you disconnect it? if you did theres a chance it might need programmed again. or you might have just given it the last nail in its coffin by messing with it.

    i'd try a honda forum.

Yes i did tried honda forum but no repsonse. But how did national windscreen manage to keep it in tact whilst changing the windscreen. surely they didnt need to reprogram it or had the tools to do that?

    thanks again.

probably not,it was only a suggestion that it might be programmed,i'm not sure it is.
if your having no luck on honda forums and you've checked all your fuses and connections then a trip to a honda dealer might be needed here. or if you can find a cheap enough replacement to fit yourself might be worth a go first.

when you took it off the windscreen did you notice the clear rubber pads ? did you remove them ? . this is a common problem with the Peugeot's after a windscreen replacement
