DVD recorder has beaten me now..HELP

When we first got the JVC DVD recorder it took me many days to work it all out...the instructions certainly got to me but hey I done it. Mr Old could not help me except the odd cuppa was nice and a tissue or two for my brow. Recently we had to take it all apart and when I put it back all seems to work ok until it is programmed then the noise on E2 is awlful and when it records it is the same buzzing horrendous noise...I have tried re-tuning TV to DVD and has made zilch difference...I have been reading up somewhat and now in a complete muddle...Any Ideas Please. Mrs. H

Inform the shop where you bought it from of the problems. May well be a faulty unit you have.

Sure when you took it apart you put it back together the right way. Oh by the way you can consider your warranty void if you took it apart..
:confused:I have nothing better to do!!!!

Think you got that a little misunderstood.. .just disconnected the leads and moved it all out when we had to have a new roof over the conservatory and then decorated...have now tried different scart leads..not them...tried on another TV without skybox not either of them...so then did a bit of searching on the DVD model JVC DRM10 and came up with many people having the same problems...apparently it does have a 'fix' and it is a known fault that occured around 2 years ago and up to us to find it out..Mine is 2 years old and had about 2 months use at most in all which is about the time the faults start to show...at over £200 at the time not very impressed with this JVC item to say the least.I have e.mailed then now but not holding my breath...have a Phone number also that I can use come Monday..0870 not impressed with that kind of number either being a MSE'er. How is everything plugged. ie Scarts, digiboxes, etc. Is the buzzing on particular inputs - eg Scart, or tuner? How is it plugged to the telly. Is E2 a scart connection?

E2 scart connection to DVD and sky digi box to DVD decoder scart socket only buzzes with DVD connected and the loading jams as well like many others with this model I learnt last week..there was a fix for it that I knew nothing about until I had problems and searched the web. Emailed then friday and they have responded as my above mail states. I was not at all sure they would take any notice as the machine was purcahsed Nov04. Mrs Happy

It's likely you'llget an updated model, so I guess in the end it's all worked out well. What is apparent is you don't necessarily get reliability with brand names. However good customer service makes all the difference!
