Have you tried secondhand shops that sell your clothes on a sale or return basis. I am trying this at the moment with a wedding outfit I had bought. They let me leave it with them for a month at an agreed price then they add their cut on top. Can't say how successful this will be, but like you I resent letting it go for nothing after all the money I spent on it.0
