Ford Fiesta Paint

My wife has a 2006 ford fiesta while I was washing it today I noticed peeling underseal and peeling paint on the sills.
Ford have a 10 year anti corrosion warranty on the fiesta, now the seals are corroding due to the paint and underseal protection has failed.
Do you think I will get this done on warranty?

Try speaking to your local dealership to find out.0

You will need a Ford service history I would have thought.0

No you don't. Having said that OP, I'm not sure that paint defects would be covered by the corrosion warranty, this is specific to rusting only.
Yes you do need an annual paint inspection preferably by Ford.Ensure that the body panels are examined annually, preferably by a Ford Authorised Dealer and that the results of the check are recorded in the vehicle's body and paint record to maintain the vehicle's perforation warranty.

What seals are corroding? Or do you mean sills?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

That's not what you originally said.Yes you do need an annual paint inspection preferably by Ford.

You said you needed a Ford service history, which of course you do not. Any garage, as long as they follow the manufacturer's guidelines can do the service without invalidating the warranty, this has been the case for many a year now.0 -
The OP hasn't said anything about corrosion. If there's no rust and just a paint defect he's not covered by the corrosion warranty.maninthestreet wrote: »What seals are corroding? Or do you mean sills?0 -

Picky picky, the annual paint inspection is done at the time of service.
Yes you can have your car serviced by any garage, but it's a lot less likely to get arguements if it's done by a Ford Dealer.0 -

Yes I did, I said that the sills are corroding due to the paint defect (2nd paragraph).
This is leaving bare metal on the underside sills of the car.0
