I signed up for Equifax back at the end of September for a free trial. I found that Orange (now EverythingEverywhere) still had a black mark against me for something that had been sorted out back in 2004.
4 months later, after several angry emails and phone calls to Orange, I discover that since September I have been viewing my credit report dated 29-9-10, and you need to click on 'BUY NOW' to update your report (even though it is free)
So despite this problem being sorted out several months ago, and despite several emails to tell me that "it's ok, your credit report hasn't changed", when I 'refreshed' it today, it has indeed changed.
Just a heads up to beware of Equifax - if something does change on your report, you need to dig around to find it, they're not going to just tell you (like they advertise)

I've signed up for Equifax e-mail alerts and they tell me when something's changed on my credit report, I had one today in fact which was notification that my electoral roll information for 2010/2011 has been updated.
But having said that I always run a new credit report at least once a month so I can see for myself for my own peace of mind. I think it's a good habit to get into rather than relying on a 3rd party to tell you what's happening with your credit. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Aswell as checking on my own accord I have had equifax also notify me of changes.0

I thought Equifax were notifying me - I got an email to say there had been a change yesterday, and my electoral roll had been updated, then I was checking to see if the mistake had been changed yet, and noticed that I was still viewing September's credit file.
What a waste of 3 months subscriptions. I just wanted people to be aware.0 -
am sure they would give you a refund if you were not happy and they saw where they failed to provide you a full working service.0
