i wanna buy an engagement gift

i wanna buy an engagement gift for a friend of mine......any ideas? i am totally clueless what to get.

  • snap! hmm i was thinking of a really boring idea like a gift voucher :( dull i know but my friend just got engaged too and they are doing up the house i really have no idea what to get either maybe the voucher is a cop out lol

    I got engaged earlier this year, we were given:

    two photo frames
    a le cruset cooking pot (can't for the life of me remember what they're called, it's ceramic and you put it in the oven!)
    a Breville hand blender
    a bread maker
    a garden centre voucher
    some bath stuff
    and two bunches of flowers!

    Generally people got us stuff for the hosue which I thought was really nice because it follows the wedding theme of setting us up in our house. All the stuff we were given was really good quality as well so they'll last well.

    I hope that helps a bit :-)

    the engagement party I went to asked for Argos vouchers and then they went together and got the bits for the house they really wanted, that makes everyone happy. The giver and the reciever xx
